Nesbitt, volunteer Lorain County coordinator for the National Graves Registration Project of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, he served as an "F&S" Field and Staff? sergeant major in the 42nd Ohio Infantry, enlisted on 10/7/1861, was "promo. from Sgt. Co. F. 27 Apr. 1863," and was discharged on 10/14/1864, "mustered out with company at Columbus Oh. on expiration of term of service."
