The death/burial date on the Westwood printout (4/18/1918) is clearly wrong; check the original burial register. It is believed that the 1918 year is a typo and should be 4/18/1948. Probably a reburial after dying overseas during the WWII in 1944 and returned to Oberlin in 1948 for burial in Westwood. He died in World War II, and his name is on Oberlin's Soldiers' Monument.
