Nesbitt, volunteer Lorain County coordinator for the National Graves Registration Project of the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, he served as a private, enlisted on 8/11/1862, was "WIA (wounded in action) 25 Nov. 1863 - siege of Knoxville, Tn." and was "discharged on surgeon's certificate of disabililty" on 3/17/1865.
